Princeton University has preferred pricing with Enterprise/National and Hertz for faculty, staff, and students renting a vehicle for University sponsored travel. The rates include primary insurance for liability and physical damage within the 48 contiguous United States. When renting a car in Alaska, Hawaii, outside the United States, or with a rental car company other than Enterprise/National or Hertz, purchase the maximum level of LDW or CDW insurance offered by the rental agency. (Note: Insurance for personal property damage/theft is not a reimbursable expense.)
Important points about insurance coverage:
- The discounts and insurance coverage is only available when booking through Concur or calling World Travel.
- Insurance coverage is only included on car rentals booked for University business through Enterprise/National and Hertz.
- Insurance is not included on any rentals for personal use.
All accidents, regardless of the severity of the accident or the amount of damage, must be reported immediately to Risk Management, your department manager, and to the rental car agency.
