Notice Regarding Travel To and From China

Feb. 1, 2020

Until further notice, no students, faculty, or staff will be approved to travel to mainland China on University business or as part of a University-sponsored program. We strongly recommend deferring other types of travel (leisure, personal interest) for the foreseeable future.

In response to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus outbreak, the U.S. Department of State has elevated its travel advisory to Level 4 - Do not Travel to China and U.S. government officials are now asking all individuals traveling back from mainland China to self-isolate for 14 days. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has placed a temporary ban on entry into the United States for foreign nationals (other than immediate family of U.S. citizens and permanent residents), who have been to mainland China in the last 14 days.

The University will continue to monitor for new information about 2019-n-CoV coronavirus.  The latest information and guidance is available on the University’s Emergency Management Website.
